Itinerary of Kathmandu and Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 1: Arrive At Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to the Hotel Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal.
It is said before Kathmandu used to be a lake. A goddess name Manjushree with her sword cut one part of hill in a place called Chobar and since then people started to live.

Day 2: After breakfast full day Kathmandu sightseeing
Swayambhunath, situated on a hillock about 77m above the level of the Kathmandu Valley is one of the worlds most glorious Buddhist Chaityas, said to be 2000 years old. Swayambhnath is located 4 km west of central Kathmandu.
The Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu is a temple of Lord Shiva, with two tiered golden roof and silver doors, is famous for its superb architecture. It is situated 5km east of Kathmandu city. This temple is regarded as one of the holiest sites for Hindus all over the world. Visitors can clearly seen the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.
The stupa of Bouddhnath is an ancient Buddhist monument and is the biggest stupa in Nepal. It is located 5km east of central Kathmandu.
The stupa stands on a three-tiered platform raised over the crossed rectangles. Every Buddhist come to visit Boudhanath for making round the stupa. Buddhist believes Boudha Stupa is the mind of Buddha.
The another attraction of Kathmandu is Kathmandu Durbar Square, is the historic seat of royalty. It is located at the heart of Kathmandu Ciy. The durbar square, with its old temples and places, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. The king of Nepal that kings used to get crowned and their coronations solemnized before the monarchy was abolished. Another attraction of this Durbar is we can see Kumari, the living child goddesses of Nepal . Kumari is believed to have supreme power. That is why the King of the Nepal used to bow and take blessing from him as well.
Patan Durbar Square complex, situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur, houses the residence of the former Patan royal family. Patan Square and its surroundings are good specimen of ancient Newari architecture. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one is located at the centre of Patan square. After visiting these all unique and superb places we will back to hotel .

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla 2840m. 3 hours trek to Phakding 2610m
Go through mountain side trail that lead to Everest. On the way enjoy scenary of river and views of a beautiful valley

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440 m. 5:30 hours treks
Climb the terraced hill, river side walk trek into the mountain through a forest. Continue path with many ups and downs; cross a stream, and pass the tiny village. Descend the path of stone steps and return to the right bank over a wooden bridge

Day 5: Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
Namche is between two giant peaks of the Khumbu. Ideal place to rest for a day. Can walk up to Khunde Hospital set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary or 1 hours walk up to Syangboche 3720m to see outstanding view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 3860m. 5 hours trek
Get to see the excellent view of Thamserku, Kantega, and Kusum Kangrib. A steep climb to Tengboche and than throught forest zone, the incline eases and a splendid view appears. Enjoy the sunset on Everest and Ama Dablam

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche 4410m. 5 hours trek
A beautiful patchwork of fields enclosed by stone walls protecting the crops of barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals

Day 8: Rest day at Dingboche
Views of the North face of Ama Dablam and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge, beautiful valley that leads up to Island Peak. A short walk to relax in the afternoon or another option to hike up to Chhukum. Enjoy the panoramic views of Island peak, Ama Dablaml, Makalu, Tawoche peak and others

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche 4910m. 5:30 hours trek
Leads north for up to 50-minutes until you come to a mani-prayer Stupa. The trail follows a downward path to Pheriche village. Today's walk offers views of the Mt.Tawache, Ama Dablam and to the north-Pokalde, Kongma-tse and the great wall of Nuptse. After a two hours walk, the trail from Pheriche joins near Dugla before a small wooden bridge over the river of Khumbu glacier

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp 5364m via Gorakshep 5140m. 7 hours trek
Trek up the valley following the rocky moraine path, view icy glacial ponds and icebergs down below of the Khumbu glacier. Further the trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier. The view of Nuptse, Lho-La and Khumbutse appears at the front of you. Overnight at lodge.
Day 11: Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar 5550m then to Pheriche 4240m. 6 hours trek
Accomplish an early morning climb to Kala Patthar and enjoy the view of sunrise. Have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku along with many other peaks. Yaks are normally used as four-legged porters in this area.

Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Tengboche 3860m. 4 hours trek
A small village with famous monastery offering you splendid views of Ama Dablam, lush green hills and river views

Day 13: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar 3440m. 4:30 hours trek
Mostly downhill on the main busy trail with a few steep climbs for an hour from the bridge at Phungitenga, near Shanasha. The walk to Namche is very scenic on a long winding path. From Khumjung village another 30 minute walk brings you to the village of Khunde

Day 14: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding 2610m. 4 hours trek
The trail descends steeply for about one and half hours. After that, the path has small ups and downs to Phakding through Monjo

Day 15: Trek from Phakding to Lukla 2840m. 3 hours trek
Your final day's trekking follows the Dudh Koshi back down to Lukla
Overnight in Lukla.
Day 16: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Enjoy fantastic views of the mountains during your morning flight if the weather is clear. Transfer to the hotel. Free time for individual activities.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Free time until departure to airport for your forward destination.
