Day 1: Thessaloniki Int. Airport - Kerkini Lake
On arrival at Thessaloniki Int. Airport you will meet your guide. We will transfer you to Kerkini Lake Nature Reserve (duration approx. 1.5 hours) where we check-in at our guest house in the village of Ano Poroia. A welcome cocktail or dinner (depending on your arrival time) will follow. After dinner, a member of our team will inform you about the program, the lake and its nature.

Day 1: Thessaloniki Int. Airport - Kerkini Lake
On arrival at Thessaloniki Int. Airport you will meet your guide. We will transfer you to Kerkini Lake Nature Reserve (duration approx. 1.5 hours) where we check-in at our guest house in the village of Ano Poroia. Day 2: Kerkini Lake (Photo touring - Bird watching by boat)
jams and other homemade products. Then we get in our bus heading Alistrati Cave (approx. 1.5 hours). The cave is entered through an artificial tunnel and the path is flat making the whole tour accessible to wheelchairs. After visiting the cave, we drive for about 2 hours to Stavroupolis, a village very close to the Nestos River, the starting point of our canoeing tour. We check - in at our hotel and in the afternoon we drive to the old town of Xanthi (distance 25 km / 15,5 miles), the most well known historic town in Greece. After a short walking tour we will have dinner at a local tavern tasting Greek and oriental delicacies for which Xanthi is famous!

Day 5: Aigai Archaeological Site (Archaeological visit)
Today we visit one of the most interesting archeological sites of Greece. We travel to Aigai Archeological Site, the first capital of the Macedonian Kings (approx. 3 hours). We visit the museum and the royal tombs and we continue our journey towards Litochoro town (approx. 70 min.), on the slopes of Mount Olympus. We check into our guesthouse for the overnight stay and we have dinner in a local tavern.

Day 6: Enipeas Gorge at Mt. Olympus National Park (Hiking)
Today we visit one of the most interesting archeological sites of Greece. We travel to Aigai Archeological Site, the first capital of the Macedonian Kings (approx. 3 hours). We visit the museum and the royal tombs and we continue our journey towards Litochoro town (approx. 70 min.), on the slopes of Mount Olympus. We check into our guesthouse for the overnight stay and we have dinner in a local tavern.

All participants must have the basic knowledge of swimming, physical and mental health. All activities are suitable for beginners.
Minimum age requirement: 10 years.

After breakfast we drive to the lake's port, our starting point for the boat tour. We approach the wet forest and watch the birds and the other animals of the area from a safe distance. The boats are safe and have a capacity of 19 persons, with a roof to protect us from the sun in the summer and from rainfall on rainy days. Depending on the season we can observe pelicans, egrets, cormorants, swans, flamingos, storks and many other rare birds in the banks and the middle of the lake. An experienced boatman who is familiar with the lake and its flora and fauna is our guide. The tour lasts approximately two and a half hours. In the afternoon we start a photo tour at selected areas, where we can take pictures of the lake's wildlife. We return to our guest house for a Barbecue party in the garden, where we can enjoy the panoramic
view of the area.

Day 4: Nestos Straits (Canoeing & Bird watching)
Today we start our canoeing and bird watching tour. After a short lesson on canoeing techniques we get into the canoes and enter the water. During this tour on the peaceful waters of the river you will have the chance to get to know one of the most unspoiled areas of Greece. We will also have the opportunity to watch several birds such as cormorants, kingfishers and storks, but also many butterflies and dragonflies. In the first break, using telescopes and binoculars, we will

watch the Griffon Vulture colony by the riparian forest. The tour is very easy and suitable for all ages (except infants). It lasts approximately 6 hours, including a break for swimming in the river and another one for a picnic lunch at the sand banks. The total length of this canoeing tour is 22 km / 13,5 miles. Safety is ensured by the use of lifejackets and a trained guide as escort. Before returning to the hotel for our overnight stay, we enjoy a BBQ close to the river banks. This morning we start walking the Enipeas river gorge. This trekking tour is part of the international E4 hiking trail. There are many picturesque waterfalls, bridges and small lakes to admire as we walk through this beautiful area, crossing the river many times. The length of this trekking tour is 9 km and lasts approximately 5,5 hours. The difficulty level is medium. After hiking during the daytime, we will serve you a farewell dinner in a local tavern and have a last party together.
